Life Light

By Nehida Parayil

I want to go,

To a faraway place,

Where I can wait,

For something nice.

I'm so tired,

Of trying so hard,

To reach the stars.

Oh how I wish,

I could enjoy the moon passing by.

Those stars twinkle out of existence,

As time passes by,

All that is left,

Is the moon passing by.

How I wish I could enjoy your shine,

But those shooting stars,

Distract me from your glow.

What if I could,

How would it be.

Through the darkness,

Would you shine on me?

Even when the stars die out,

Would you go with them,

Or would you shine,

Except for that one night,

Where you would leave too.

Leave me in eternal darkness,

Till you come again,

Or I come to you,

Into the void.
