Life In 20's

Updated: May 19, 2023

Life is very unpredictable. All we have is now, this very moment. We as humans tend to forget this and our ultimate goal of life, that is to be happy. In such a hurtle going around us, we forget the essence of life.

Is this race against time or race against the world? Competitive nature is inbuilt in everyone, just some know how to tap it deep. But did you realize when you are in your 20’s you are at the most competitive phase of your life. You are essentially fierce, aggressive and carrying a passion to achieve something in life. All you want to do at this age is prove to others what you are made of! Part adolescent age, part adulthood confuses your feelings and vision to see through clearly.

As a matter of fact, people fail to realize in their 20’s is that, it’s not a competition with others but with oneself. You have to prove a point to yourself, earn for yourself, grow as a person and not get lost in the rat race. Never ending race will only lead you to be lost in a crowd of millions because, it’s you today but tomorrow you will be replaced. Happiness is what everyone deserves, but only few accept that door to it. I agree phases of the 20’s are the most critical one that can either make you or take you down!

A lot of first times happen in this age bucket. For some its their first Kiss, first love or first job and for others its their marriage, first kid or first business setup. These firsts are something so valuable that linger in your brain, your entire life. They may give you success or failure which may matter now, but what matters the most is the life lesson that it leaves behind. As they say “Experience is the teacher of all things”. You can throw away the bad experience but save the lesson. Gamble to life is same as cards, it’s how you play well with the cards you hold in hand, no matter if it is of lower value than others. Living with dignity is what counts.

Twenties is the age where you are meddling in phase of what you learnt from others about the world and what it actually is in real life. Just because you turn older doesn’t mean you are turning wiser as well. Wisdom comes with experience of not only successes but also the failures. Want to learn everything fast, want to achieve in shortest period is something we go crazy for during our 20’s. But this is not the time when we learn that answers come with age. No, it doesn’t! Our goals are definitely at par with the generation. We thrive to achieve success in all our aspects of life possible with minimal guidance. Whether guidance or not this age is when we all have at least 1 role model in our life. They become our inspiration to the ladder of success. Be it an actor, entrepreneur, doctor, lawyer or any other person who influences our life in some way or the other. Our thinking and chain of thoughts starts blending in the way we look up to our idols.

If 20’s is a tender age, childhood is what shapes it. You grow to be, just the way you are taught and brought up in childhood.

CHAPTER 2

At20’s age we are selfish, fast and always rushing towards achieving our goals. Mine were the same. Apart from the selfish part, I experienced everything. I wanted to prove it to the world and more to myself. But this phase of 20’s of my life gave me everything.

So, my 20’s was the best time of my life. This is the stage where I made friends, acquaintances, commercial friends, long time work friends. Making some work friends made me realize how much there is to learn in this world around. They teach you a lot in different aspects of life that you didn’t even think of exploring ever.

I need my peeps to understand the same, that there is no age bar for achieving your dreams. Some have accomplished the same in their 20’s phase some do it later. But it’s never too late to fulfill your dreams. Always remember do what you love and don’t run behind your dreams. Instead try working for it hard, they will automatically fall into your arms. Success is never away from the ones who work for it. Be it today or tomorrow, just like me you will reach there too eventually.

From the experience I gained in my 20’s I would like to share this with you lovely readers that, don’t forget you have to prove to yourself and not to the world. Work for your parents, not for any peeps under peer pressure. Hold on to the pressure and release it in the right direction.

Just live and let live!
