Lies Told: Truths Unfold

By Edvelyn Lee

The truth is it never goes away

yet I pray for it to evaporate

In any form it takes as tears

plays as constant reminders

It is an infected wound

and there are mutating cells

Palpitating heart knowingly grows a friend

or foe

I may be limping now

and smile like a father accepting your sins

I will be immobilised soon

and face the guilt of a liar

I could never forgive

Incapable and unfairness held hands together

Here they birth an angry daughter

Mirror or Museum

Both are true in our music

Tunes told truth in acoustics

so, the reality is

it'll come back equally violent as that day

and all I can pray is to disappear with it all day
