Letters To My Two Beloved

By Shaikh Aafreen

Again I'll close my diary after I have written these letters and my words—for you, for him—will close on each other, they'll melt and become cluttered. The two worlds I try so hard to keep distinguished, different, away from merging, merge. The brief clarity will disappear and the ambiguous fog will start to leak again and it'll rest again in my heart; tattooed, imprinted.
