Letter from A Daughter to Her World

Updated: Oct 17, 2022

By Sadaf Sultana

Dear Mom,

You are strong and bold,

Your guidance is walked upon.

You know my wants more than me,

Your beatings have aided my growth.

You get worried when I bother to worry,

Your vision makes me value my goals.

You never boast about yourself,

Your patience has won you laurels.

You train me in both world and religion,

Your belief makes me believe in myself.

You always understand me,

Your wisdom is what gets you recognition

Gratitude for being my super-woman!

Dear Dad,

You motivate me to do well,

Your humbleness is looked upon.

You spend time with family,

Your helpfulness is admired.

You pay the debts,

Your caring nature is recognised.

You respect everyone around you,

Your hard work pays off.

You teach me the importance of prayer,

Your scoldings have transformed me.

You fulfil all my dreams,

Your greasy shoes define you.

Gratitude for being my hero!

Dear Mom and Dad,

You share an inseparable bond.

Your unity unites us.

You have emerged as an example,

Your intellectual beautifies you.

You walk hand-in-hand,

Your sacrifices have elevated you.

You polish me as the days are passing by,

Your role signifies you.

You love me for who I am,

Your faith makes me stand again.

You have managed to build my empire,

Your support is what makes me its queen.

Gratitude for being my world!
