Letsels, Spatsels en Kinkels

Letsels, skerfies, splinters,

lê in my hart rondgesaai.

Elke oomblik van kindwees

bring sy eie lang winters,

wat soos winde deur my waai.

Letsels dra ’n wilde vrees

wat niemand sien of verstaan,

maar tog het ek bly staan.

Spatsels, spikkels, vlekke,

het my lewe erg beheer.

Verag, bang en eensaam wees

wys nou al sy gebrekke,

wat die siel so diep beseer.

Spatsels geskryf in my vlees,

walglik vir die wêreldoog,

tog skyn hoop se reënboog.

Kinkels, kabels, fabels,

speel my kop mooi deurmekaar.

Lieg, jok en stories vertel,

verdraai verwarring, Babels.

Gou word lesse bitter swaar.

Kinkels gooi die lewenspel,

stuur jou vinnig rond en bont,

maar tog word ek gesond.

Vinkel en koljander

stap so hand aan hand hul pas.

Stadig, geduldig, verlief,

bereid om te verander;

vrot leuens sal moet verkas.

Vinkel, koljander, gin grief,

wys die swaar pad was gerig

vir lewe en die lig.
