Let Us Part Ways

I am trapped in a caterpillar

I wish to fly like a butterfly

Give me wings of an eagle

I wish to soar a little high

Keeping me in these nuptial shackles

Will still keep your life a mess

This love of ours shall grow a puss

And bleed one day like rotten abscess

If we do not free each other

Love shall slowly downgrade

Responsibilities will turn a burden

This with time shall ascervate

Sweet words will turn bitter to taste

Altercation will no more be funny

All which felt like naughty banters

Will now gradually smell of acrimony

I am not a wind chime

That you hung by the window

And you smile to see me dance

And tinkle as the winds blow

You too smile and clap like a puppet

Clenching to a relationship bound to clack

Realize that you are unhappy within

It is time you leave the grip slack

Let us part our ways

With handful of sweet memories to cherish

Do not delay, memories are fragile

Fast they grow, faster they perish
