Let's play pretend like we always do, you'll say that you love me and I'll know that it's 

not true. 

Let's pretend like we're perfect together like we always do, I'll say that you're the best when I actually loathe you. 

Let's pretend like those sweet nothings exchanged mean something like we always do, we can act like we're happy with each other when you actually turn my heart blue. 

Let's pretend like we are an amazing pair like we always do, I'll lay in the ashes of the garden we together grew. 

Let's pretend and pretend because that's what we always do, now there is a pit in my gut in the shape of you.
