Let me go to sleep

Let me go to sleep,

For there aren’t enough tears for me to weep

For I have lost to the darkness in me so deep

That every time I pulled back, trying to catch the bird of hope,

The darkness suffocated me beyond what I can cope.

Let me go to sleep,

For there isn’t any happy emotion I can keep

And the dark sentiment makes life so steep,

That every moment seems like a situation of life and death

I can’t put the weight down my shoulders and catch my breath

Else I will fall, and my shrieks would go unheard since I couldn’t break my walls.

Let me go to sleep

For the scent of when I’d not fake a smile, peeps

And everything I am struggling to be alive for just sweeps

And the faces I thought to be own,

Morph into my worst fears and I am torn,

Torn into such small bits that I cannot find the will, to let love cure me,

So set me free,

Let me go to sleep.

For there aren’t enough tears for me to weep.
