you are the powerful light

that shows how strong you are.


piece by piece,

you give yourself

to brighten the sleeping world.


you are my hidden feelings,

yet you console me

when i’m alone.


the glow you weave

across the sky whispers:


“don’t worry-

you will shine like me.”


you are my quiet companion,

my teacher in the night,

showing me how to glow

even when the darkness

tries to stay.
