Lavender Haze

In the garden of despair and disdain

Came a story so in vain.

Started as a friendship so vibrant, now stained with red

The bittersweet memories—oh, how a life we could have led!

Painted the garden with lavender haze,

Who would have thought how red will be the blaze?

Soon came the fields of lavender, a woe’s song

A kindredship’s demise, as petals prolonged.

Soon, the calming scent of lavender cleared

The forlorn scent of distrust seared

Eyes filled with sorrow wound my heart

The faded memories, now as beautiful as art

Realization hit hard, as they say.

A friendship withered but left a wash of light gray

Gave thou life; some may think at what cost?

felt as though a part of me was lost.

Now i ponder in the garden of memories, where the echoes fade

As i stare at the sunset, melancholy lingers in the lavender shade

As i locked the gates of my field

The lavender haze gave me peace now that I wield
