Laughing Through The Summer Gaze

Laughing through the summer gaze,

Till we met autumn’s haze.

Watching every petal drop,

From the flowers you gifted me at that bus stop.

Seasons paint the trees,

Red, yellow and the saddest of greens.

Leaves hang like memories,

Textures and feelings that cannot repeat.

In this city, rivers chase the ocean,

So full of hope, a once in a lifteime devotion,

And when winter breaks,

All that is frozen cannot escape.
