Late In The Evening

What ensnares within us led to muse,

when we succumb to the death and worldly praise,

sojourn us to the height of the clouds,

thus seems to be dark all over around.

Why thou seem to grieve and leave?

Why thou felt each plight with sight?

What thou did when thy power died?

Bedstead in its place and man to man mourn,

dark pretend to till every field, to kill,

remembrance no longer will let us prone,

then rely on the so called mill.

What thou did to cheer and kneel?

Why thou seem so unnatural?

Why thou kept us in Hades?

Walking past the tree, the shop and the clock,

making nearly everyone shriek with mock,

when you are left in front of the test,

What are you left with, when you pretend to protest?
