Last Quarter Moon

Tonight, the moon was half lit,

And it shone ever so brightly, that before even realising it, I was crying while looking at it.

I didn’t know why I was crying, but it was just so comforting that I wanted to keep looking at it a bit longer, and so I did.

And it made me wonder,

If I admired the moon for being half lit, or for being half immersed in darkness.
