It was the downfall of her and me

The downfall of the truths we shared,

the lies which were unfolded in a glimpse

Tears from her eyes

for the utter disparity of the downfall

left her mouth numb

Her words forever remain unspoken

with the downfall of her brain,

her mind,

her body, and

her soul

I hope a day comes

when I can feel

the same as her

But until then,

I continue to search

for a downfall,

I can feel with the same depth

she felt.
