Keeper Of My Shards

I wish I could say I knew you

I wish I could rely on you like I once used to

But the parting gift you gave me

Cut some old wounds open

I wish I could love you again

I wish I could trust you with my life like I used to

But, as you walked away,

You burnt down the string that bound us

I wish I could move past the horrors I had to endure

I wish I could restart everything from scratch

But I watched you disintegrating my already broken heart

You…who were once my safe haven,

 The keeper of my shards
