Keep A Smile

Out there the pandemic rages,

My love, stay safe, stay alive

For as you are, so am I, near or far

Wherever I’m, you are the thought I carry, the breathe I take

In a world that has gone into chaos, our plans have gone awry,

Like pieces of gigantic puzzle we are strewn apart wide

togetherness, we know not when, will cuddle us again,

Till then my love, stay safe and keep a smile (for me)

Right next to you I may be, seeing you,

Puttering around, going through the chores of life, but,

the fear of losing you is no less, so I tag along

right behind you, for to be left without you is my worst nightmare

And darling, if we are overtaken by circumstances,

Separated, never to see each other again

I will walk the distance with your smile in my eyes, feel of your hand in mine,

Till we meet again, my love, stay safe, for as you are, so am I

To those who are losing their loved ones, and those who are separated by distance…

Stay strong, stay safe, this too shall pass
