They bow with eyes shut, hearts full of prayer,
Chanting His name, with a faith laid bare.
Temples gleam bright, with offerings they bring,
Yet miss the tears of a bird with a broken wing.
Feet rush fast to the holy shrine,
But walk past hunger, saying, "It’s not mine."
Hands fold tight before idols of stone,
Yet leave a neighbor to suffer alone.
What use is a verse, if hearts stay blind?
If love for mankind, you cannot find?
A thousand lights may burn through the night,
But one kind act is the truest light.
He never asked for gold or grand display,
Just a helping hand along life’s way.
Not the loud prayer, nor the grandest art
But kindness, dear one, is where worship starts.
You seek Him far, in heavens so wide,
Yet miss His face by the roadside.
Dharma is not in words we say,
But in the lives we touch each day.
Karm is the temple where truth shall dwell,
In every deed, His presence will swell.
Not in rituals, not in the crowd,
But in quiet compassion, pure and proud.
So open your eyes, let your heart see,
The truest worship is humanity.
No scripture is higher, no wisdom more true
Than the love you give in all that you do.
