Just Pretending Stuff

By Rishika Rani

Let’s just pretend that everything is going well

When in reality, it is not.

Let’s just pretend that they are with you

When in reality, they are not.

Let’s just pretend that you are no longer waiting for their text

When you really crave for, is one last text from them.

Let’s just pretend it is all about you

When it is not actually just about you.

Let’s just pretend that you got some guts

But actually you just took the flight.

Thinking what could possibly go wrong

And not about what if

Everything goes wrong.
