Judging

Updated: Sep 2

By Rosmin Anna Jain

In shadows cast by unkind eyes,

A soul weeps silently, deeply despised.

Familiar echoes of judgment's refrain,

Leaving scars on hearts, a lingering pain.

Behind every smile, a mask worn so well,

A tale untold, the hurt they can't quell.

The world's gavel falls with no respite,

As hearts yearn for compassion's sweet light.

Struggling to fit in a mold so small,

They stumble and falter, feeling so small.

Why must we weigh each other's worth,

By rigid scales, unfair from birth?

Chasing acceptance, they lose their way,

A dance of approval, they're forced to play.

But within their core, strength starts to rise,

A spirit unyielding, ready to defy.

No more shall they hide, no more pretend,

Their voice takes flight, they'll rise and ascend.

For judgments be damned, they'll be unapologetic,

Embracing their truth, with hearts full and kinetic.

They'll paint their world with vibrant hue,

The critics' whispers, they'll see them through.

In love, they'll find their own reprieve,

From judgments' chains, they'll break and leave.

For in the tapestry of life's grand design,

They'll carve their path, a journey divine.

United in strength, their hearts now free,

Tired of being judged, they'll finally be.
