For the night who offers her breath to his song,

For the dreams that she floats for the shadows to come along,

He stands aloft in disarming delight,

As the moon shines in wholesome bright.

For the moonlit banter, or the starry sky,

For the little dance amidst the dreams gone by,

The night holds them all.

Behind the fragrance of that dewy morn,

Behind the cry of a new dream born,

The beholder lets the skylight fall.
