Jina Faints

By Shanaya Singh

There once was a boy named Jack, who had a sister named Jina. It was a sunny afternoon, so they were playing football in the open area in their society together with their friends. It was Chhoti diwali so they were extremely excited for tomorrow. Jina and Jack both got new clothes, money from their relatives and got some gifts from their close friends. Eagerly excited for tomorrow they played joyfully in the park, until Jack kicked the ball a little too high, it landed on poor Jina’s tanned face for being in the scorching sunlight for a little too long. She started crying and started yelling at her brother. Jack felt guilty because of what he had done, he tried to explain by saying “ I am so sorry Jina! It was a-an acc-accident” over and over again. In the middle of that argument, Jina suddenly fainted! Jack frantically picks her up and puts her on his back, since she was light weighted she was easy to carry. When he got home, Jack tells his parents about what happened “ I accidentally ki-kicked the ball too high while playing football and i-i-it landed on Jina’s face, I feel terribly guilty.” The parents scolded Jack for a few moments and then rushed to fetch some ice-cold water to spray on Jina’s face. The mother runs with the cold water and accidentally dumps it on Jina, and then Jack's sister wakes up like she just woke up from having the worst nightmare ever and she says “ what happened ?” The family did not listen to her and straight away they went for a very tight hug. After that whenever the two siblings played football, they made sure that they didn’t accidentally kick the ball too high
