Last night I had dinner with an old friend.

Sharing a meal and laughs without having to pretend.

Sitting a cross from him just reminded me of a version of myself that never gave up.

The one who kept pouring faith into an empty cup.

Engraved in his soul is Jeremiah v29:11.

"For i know the plans I have for you..."

You know how the rest goes

So i write this to remind all of you that hope isn't a place but it's a fight.

That dreams don't die they just hide from the light.

So i still write to find my way.

Even through the darkness that steals my days.

Our deepest fear isn't that we are inadequate

We are just powerful beyond measure.

During those silent nights where we feel the most pressure.

So every night I pray,not for hope or luck.

But for the courage to face what I try to reshape.

The poet who learned how to make darkness lighter

The poet who showed me that success isn't the peak but it's the climb.

It's choosing to love your life one breath at a time.

Be a blessing in someone's life.
