It's Just a Bird!

By Falguni Bhayravi

Oh! Dear bird,

Do say, do you not feel scared?

When you stretch your wings and fly towards the unheard.

Oh! Dear bird,

Do say, do you not feel cold?

When you dance in the freezing rain along with the herd.

Oh! Dear bird,

Do say, do you not feel tired?

After flying for hours that you still pretend it never mattered.

Oh! Dear bird,

Do say, do you not feel life’s unfair?

When you watch your nest, your home, get shattered.

Oh! Dear bird,

Do say, do you not feel taken for granted?

When the entire world has to say, it's just a bird!
