Is It Love

Is it love,

when , the one you love,

can't feel your love?

Is it love,

when,

you can hear his thoughts,

before they become words.

Feel his heart beat in yours.

When,

he looks at you but the language of your eyes

evades him.

He doesn't know that your heart is incapable of beating alone.

Is it love,

when he throws his head back

and laughs,

and you're the one that feels light headed.

Your happiness coming through his.

Is it love,

when,

you seek refuge,

from your sadness

behind your smile.

He cannot see the broken spirit behind the squared shoulders.

Is it love,

when,

the pristine rays of the morning sun,

wash over him and turn him to gold,

and your hand,

with unsure fingers, yearns to caress,

his sculpted features.

Is it love,

when ,

your fragmented soul seeks,

answers to broken vows.

Is it love ,

when,

it is moody and porous,

and guilty of dishonesty and deception,

fluctuating in its impermanence.

Is it love,

when,

the one you love cannot feel your love?
