Dear wind, dear rain, dear raging thunder

Oceans washing up on shores,

and rivers cutting through rock and soil

Rich fertile lands of Natal,

and the barren soil of the Kalahari

Dear souls of the departed, resting in peace or lingering in limbo

Mothers, and fathers

Brothers, and sisters

Sons and daughters

Dear Makeba, dear Masekela, nawe Madikizela

Dear God!
