Intensely

Do you sometimes feel…Intensely? 

Like if you were a fire, 

I’d want to burn in you. 

If you were a flood, 

I’d want to drown in you. 

Emotions are for everyone but do you ever just feel… feel them taking over? If you were lava, 

I’d want to melt in you. 

If you were the North Pole, 

I’d want to freeze in you. 

Ha! Feelings I say. 

I too have feelings. 

Loving intensely, that’s the better of it. 

Many say that to love is to feel, 

feeling love is such a wonderful gift but what about, 

the curses flowing through my veins as the others invade my brain? 

What about anger in which I would tear things apart in rage? In which I throw a fit, 

break everything standing in my way, 

I spit out words I know will poison my relationships like venom, yet I don’t keep mum. 

What about sadness in which I rip into my heart with my nails as a dagger? In which I bawl my eyes out, 

Drown everything standing in my way, 

I remember all that will bring me despair, 

yet I push myself. 

What about fear in which I curl up into a ball and lie frozen on the ground? In which I am on edge, 

Breathing hard, 

Gasping for air. 

I too have feelings like others but do they feel them as… intensely? Do you?
