Insecurity

By Shreya

This huge demonic tree

no plant grows underneath

no hope is left to be

nor a twig of faith to breathe

Planted it unaware

or out of shear envy

by my own my very own

from whom I came to be

Fed by doubts

and watered by anxiety

extends its branch to extremity,

this blood thirsty insecurity
