Insanity
By Keertana Saji
There’s the mirror
that I’m inside,
looking out I see
there’s a child.
Her face is the same
as that of mine,
with hair that reaches
my ears behind,
A smile on her lips
and nothing in her eyes.
Nothing in her eyes…
Oh, dear child,
still so immature,
I’ll take away the pain
for it to be so Evermore.
I’ll take a deep breath
and there will go The Nothing
to be replaced with joy and blessings.
Oh, dear child,
you’ve grown, oh so much
and now there’s horror
in your eyes for such.
Still too young,
still so immature.
I’ll keep the touch and fear
deep within my soul.
You leave once more,
with a smile on your face,
and I must smile with pain,
for I’m your reflection.
Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock.
Let go, let go
let the demons roam.
My smiles turn to cackles
when I let go.
Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock.
Oh, dear child,
let me out
Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock.
Oh, dear child,
let my bloodlust talk.
Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock.
Oh! You want to live?!
You wouldn’t be alive without my will.
Tick. Tock.
Tick. Tock.
One bad day? No.
It’s forever and a day…!
Tick. Tock.
Tick.
Tock.
Oh, dear child…
Come on tell me your name…
