Innocence's Journey

By Raghav Badrinath

I was once a child,

When I danced in candy skies.

I was once a child,

When I aspired to save worlds.

I was once a child,

When I embraced enchantment.

I was once a child,

When I raced with childhood joy.

I was once a child,

When I placed trust in all.,

I was once a child,

When I honoured others' needs.

I was once a child,

When my dreams melted into mist.

I was once a child,

When my faith crumbled to dust.

I was once a child,

As life's light began to fade,

Yet in their hearts, they knew,

I remained a child within.
