Inner Self And Inner Circle

By Aniruddh Jahagirdar

Have you ever taken a moment to tie up with your inner self? When was the last time you stayed alone and felt your heartbeat? Or when was the last time you sat in silence and simply observed your own body like the lines on your palms? We see ourselves in the mirror once or twice a day just to confirm that we look presentable to others whenever we go out. However, we don't even simply observe ourselves in mirror if we are in our home and not going anywhere else. In this hurrying world, we have forgotten the necessity of self-time. Bill Gates once said, "I get too many great ideas when I will be taking a shower in the bathroom." Why did he say this is all because whenever we are in the bathroom, we are out of stress, work and other problems. We just relax and give a good time to ourselves. This is where exactly his point regarding the significance of self-time rotates. Taking time for oneself always pops our minds with greatest thoughts and ideas.

Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam believed that giving time and connecting with yourself is not just a necessity, it's an act of wisdom that would surely help an individual to connect with people in a better way and ultimately achieve goals.

Doe Zantamata, an American author and motivational speaker quotes, "Taking time to do nothing often brings everything into perspective".

The more you seek the company of so many people, the less you give time to yourself. An individual can know a very large number of people. But at the end of the day, it would always restrict itself to a small and particular close-knit group. In my case, it's always my group, my gang which is something just next to myself. I always ensure that I give ample time to myself and to the important people in my life equally. Even a brief two minutes of talking with your people would create wonders in changing your mood and free you from stress. I often turn to them for solutions to my problems. Sometimes I blindly believe in their decisions without even taking some time alone thinking about it.

To sum up, I would always like to tell you to try your best to prioritize self-time and equally dedicate enough time to your inner group as well. These two factors would build stronger and meaningful relationships and pave the way for a happier and healthier life.
