Inner Magic

When the newborn opened its eyes,

when it unfurled its heavenly hands,

I saw in them them the majestic skies,

and the far stretching lands.

Magic was, at first, what I reckoned it had,

as I saw the smiling lil lad.

Later I began to see it in many creatures,

in animals and trees,

in students and teachers,

and in the flowing breeze.

But in many I saw this power diminishing,

and I often question their magic's finishing.

Soon, I got the solution!

The magic is within us all.

At times, evil deeds spread like foul suffusion.

This magic thrives in a person but often beneath evil deeds’ wall.

So, let us affirm this magic that is as pleasant as a musical chord.

Let me also tell you that this magic's name is God…!
