In the Glow of Her Unspoken Grace

By Faiyaz Takrim

Her smile, a sun through cloudy skies,

It caught my breath, it stilled my cries.

Those eyes, half-lowered, bright and free,

Held stories I still ache to see.

Her hair would fall in careless grace,

A scent of rain, a breeze's trace.

Not just her looks, but who she is,

A warmth, a laugh, a soul I miss.

We played as friends with hearts unsure,

Yet something deeper did endure.

Now in her silence, still I find

A space for hope inside my mind.

Perhaps one day she'll see it too,

This quiet love that only grew.
