In Tears By Now
By Subham Acharya
The silence of the pitch black cold night is broken by my
screams,
But it seems that my captors find it to be another excuse,
They won't let me loose, as if freedom i could choose,
I was Taken away from my family when i was just a kid,
When they did, I could not even have the strength to fight them away,
Now grown up, when i have the might I am but chained up,
Drained of my energy, all i can do is cry,
My throat feels dry from crying all night,
Miles away,
I miss my family,
Smiles away, Can I only find some rags as company in the
night so cold and chilly,
for i feel sick from the cruelty i had got, one that would make your blood boil,
But only the fleas and ticks suck my blood off,
As
you scroll down your phone while reading my ordeal, I hope you'd be in tears by now,
for I have fears they will kill me, after they are done with
me,
And with that iron rod that they put in me, i do get raped,
My mouth remains taped, for not a word to come out,
And I fear my cries will never reach to anyone rhat they could hear,
Even if they did, it'd be on deaf ears,
for not words nor syllables not a language that you could
comprehend,
But the bleats of "beasts"
And till when can they expect me to lactate,
Grown old, my butchered meat would be up for your feasts,
As you roll down
roll down your eyes, maybe muttering to yourself
"just an animal, not a big deal
"1
And i fear that you won't be in tears by now.
