In my glasses
By Sahil Kudchikar
How much I love to escaping from this reality,
This black shade rescues my mind from all the animosity.
I walk in swagger when I slide them on,
And feel like one of the characters from Reservoir dogs.
Whether it's my affection or some malice, you won't get a hint.
For all my secrets are caved behind this layer of tint.
I am rich, I am free from tears that could roll down from my eyes,
Yo may not see them but I can see through your lies.
I see your face, your body, and the curves whenever you pass,
I can be shameless, honourless behind this glass.
No one can follow my stride when I put them on,
regrets or mistakes, all are forgone.
But this is how sunglasses make you feel,
Your intentions find a way to conceal.
Whatever the brand may they be, I always rock,
Be it the sun or an an evil eye, they will always block.
Dear Judges,
This is a poem i wrote about sunglasses. This was inspired from a situation where I had caught my friend checking out a girl through his sunglasses. So it's all about how a person'sPersonality changes when he or she wears a sunglass, it's about all the stories that hide behind those sunglasses. Hope you find it interesting.
