In my dreams

IN MY DREAMS

The moment I close my eyes and drift off to sleep

I rewind all the moments of today

Moments that I want to forget and that I always want to keep

Sleeping all the tiredness away and off to another day.

Sometime during the night, I enter the world of dreams

An endless world of darkness and of lights

I become infinitely happy there it seems

After going through some painful, tormenting nights.

Maybe dreams are the only place where I can be myself

Where I can feel no hate nor any stares

But in a real world, it is a burden in itself

To be happy and be you, because nobody cares.

They say that dreams are beautiful and indeed come true

That they are subtle moments of happiness and joy

But forget that nightmares are dreams too

Dreams that scare you and make your smile go away.
