"Imposter"

It starts with a silent nod

A gasp for the moments recognition

Than a thunderstorm agitates

Determined to self construct

It starts with a prophecy

To weed out all my fallacies.

It interwines with my reality

Flows through my veins

And rushes to my memories

It was never given, but taken indeed

It sits there waiting,

just there for you in need

A brother with more time having lived

A teacher with more judgement to give

It is a king with more enemies

A queen with enough jealousy

A neighbour with eyes that never blinks

And a girl with enough anxiety that

It allows her to breathe..

It is a wanting to give a performance of sorts

Bowing my head down to others

Failing to be someone who might like to be seen

To be pleasing to every living thing

Has never taught me to hold high mine.

It ends with a war indeed

It will rip apart all our niceties

Towards our holy realities

I would than see my imposter as a child

Just wanting to please.
