Impacts of Global Recession

Following the Covid 19 flu,

Back in the year of 2022,

War amidst Russia-Ukraine

Impacted the supply chain

And the charges of freights

Began soaring like rockets,

Burning a hole in pockets.

With shipment stranded at sea,

Enterprises filed for bankruptcy,

Having gone for an entire toss

After incurring excessive loss.

Some shutdown altogether,

Some merged with another

And those that survived

The turbulence of the tide,

Began looking for tactics

To reduce the expenditure

By replacing manpower

With automated robotics.

With increase in production cost

And for recovering the profits lost,

Even the maximum retail price

Of each of the consumer goods

From clothing to basic foods

Began to extremely rise.

With prices soaring high

But pockets running dry,

The daily wage workers

And mid-class consumers

Are ones paying the price

For this exorbitant rise.
