Immortal Lives

Gracing the beauty of life,

Was something taught to me,

The ripples of those laughing vibes,

Was like a tonic to me.

Carrying the loads of happiness,

Unloading the joylessness,

Which I had ever wanted to do,

Could I do it? thought I.

Why not?

If I ever wanted to become immortal,

Then I had to learn to curb myself,

Ah, those immortal lives,

How lucky were they,

Swimming across like a grey eyed eagle across the grey sky.

I knew I was a mortal,

Who had to leave herself,

I never know when.

But when I would leave my lifeless body,

And wander in search of a heap of joy,

I would become one of those immortal loves, thought I.
