Immersed In Ink

Updated: Feb 10

By Krishna Varsha Sagi

A world of words, a story untold

Pages turn… and my mind begins to unfold

Lost in the depths of each chapter I am bound

Mystery, romance, adventure all around

With each turn of a page, I am transported away

A new journey, a new path, a new role to play

The characters, alive within my mind

Their struggles, their triumphs, their journey I find

The scent of the pages, the crinkle of the spine

As I dive deeper, hour by hour, time seems to decline

Forgetting my worries, erasing my fears

In this literary haven, I have no tears

My heart races with each plot twist

My soul aching with every tender kiss

The words come alive, right before my eyes

In this book, my heart and soul truly lies

I immerse myself in the world created within

As my reality fades, this new one begins

I am no longer confined by my limitations

Lost in these pages, I am free from any hesitation

With every word, a new emotion is stirred

Joy, love, heartache, and fear all blurred

I laugh, I cry, I feel it all

Forgetting my troubles, I answer the book's call

Lost in this story, I find solace and peace

My mind, my heart, my soul at ease

For in this world of books, I am never alone

With each turn of a page, my heart has a new home

As the final chapter draws near

I am filled with both sadness and cheer

For though I must leave this world behind

I know I can always come back and rewind

The feeling of getting lost in a book

Is like no other, it's worth the time it took

For in those moments, I am no longer me

But a part of the story, forever and free.

It eloquently expresses the joy of getting lost in a story, of feeling the weight of a book in your hands and knowing that within its pages lies a world waiting to be explored
