Illusion

I a lone wanderer, a mere passerby,

Was mesmerized by the mountains so high,

Their glamorous peaks touching the foggy sky.

And in the middle stood bashing in glory so grand,

On a lushful green piece of land,

Its entrance adorned by a flower bed,

Its marvelous Tulips, yellow and red,

A tall villa, its sophisticated roofs painted blue,

From my greedy mouth, a sigh of desire it drew.

Oh! How my heart desired for it to be mine.

Wished I could be with nature, in its glory I would dine.

But little did I know it was a merry illusion,

Indeed it was beauty’s delusion.

The scenic view pulled me in,

Made me forget all right and led me to sin.

It was a trap designed to capture me,

It stripped me of my right to be free.

Now my faith lies in the cruel witches’ hand,

She is the owner of the house that’s so grand.
