If Winter comes

Let the colors trickle in,

Slow and thick and warm.

Wade through the honey thick feelings,

And burrow yourself in those welcoming arms.

Dip your foot in the calm lake.

Drown yourself in the incoming tide.

Look around at the wash of new beginning,

See the world spread its wings wide.

And as the song of the birds come to a crescendo,

And the sun resumes its dazzling glow,

Let me remind you of the age old tale,

Where Winter journeys and Spring follows.
