If They Knew

By Rimsha Shaikh

A glimpse was seen

Of a past that had never been

Slowly passing by and fading

an unseen reality

Longing to be in a present

that is not possible|

Only to take a peek in the

forbidden future desired by me

Shattered are the hopes

I once had

Of loving and living in the moment

the ones that have now gone bad.

A world full of idiocity

not realizing the atrocity

Thousands have gone mad

In figuring out something true

Only if they knew

Only if they knew

The only reality is

Everything being a lie

If only they knew

They are living in an illusion

That has always been

Made by the one in the sky
