If the mornings were as very in love; if the sun didn't shine so bright,

If it had not seen those stars light,

Would it still prefer the night? If the mornings were as very serene; if there were no city lights,

If it had not seen those polar lights,

Would it still prefer the night?

If the mornings were as very relaxing; if there were no souls to pry,

If it had not seen those hearts cry,

Would it still prefer the night? If it were the last morning to be,

If it had a chance to save the light,

Would it be the sun and forget the night or would it still prefer the night?
