If She Comes Alone

Know not of victims this dewy-eyed bitch,

Unformed and ignorant as you might think,

Placed on pedestals she could never hitch,

But she stands as if far from the brink.

She lays now only in pictures and eyes,

Her once unknowing look stare cynical,

Nobody mentions her tragic demise,

Only to her was it a spectacle.

Heavy tears and sunken heart in earnest,

Stand now alone, unliked, and uncommon,

Abandoned and longed by her colonist,

She disappears and hides as a woman.

No longer a fool and no unawares,

But still, she doubts sounds in her newer ears,

As things stay many when come in their pairs,

And despair was never lonely in years.

So, in memory of a babbling chick,

And if they might admit and approve it,

To accept her company’s a cruel trick,

And if she comes alone…

Shoot it.
