If I Am a Rose

They told me I'm a rose.... but I want to know which one?

Am I the fresh rose

The one they love for its beauty

The one infused with scent

The one that is mature and romantic

The one they use by destroying it.

Or

Am I the new bud

The one that is young

The one they admire for the cuteness

The one they hold their hopes with

The one promised them to bloom

Or

Am I the wild Rose

The one that is independent

The one who is rebellious

The one that thrives in tough conditions

Am I the rose they want to keep in their hairs

Am I the rose they want to decorate their paintings with

Am I the rose they want to offer to God

Am I the rose they want to gift in a bouquet

Or Am I the rose they want to take for the funeral.

Tell me if I am a rose.... I want to know which one?

If you ask me .... which one?

I want to be the dead one

The one they cherish in their favourite diary

The one who holds their memories

The one in the present, reminding them of their past;

The one they remember their sweetest moment with

The one that is beautiful by thoughts

The one with loud silence.

If I am a rose...tell me I am the dead one.
