I Wonder..

I wonder if you remember,

The same things that I do.

The moments we shared together,

Secrets between me and you.

Do you see the things that I see?

Do you feel the way I do?

Years have passed us by,

But the memories stay fresh and true.

I wonder if you remember,

The inside jokes we created,

The days we burst out laughing,

And the times our snickers restarted.

Do you feel the sands of our hourglass

Slipping through the cracks of every day?

Do you also worry that we may not find

The path back to each other, our own way?

I wonder if you remember,

What it felt like to be filled with care.

To be full with love and trust and joy,

To know someone will always be there.

Do you think it can be the same?

Do you think there’s still a chance?

Or do you also feel the worry,

Have we lost our special romance?

I wonder if we can still cling to hope,

That things will surely be all right.

To know that even though it looks different,

Our love can still remain shining bright.
