I Wonder...

I wonder how you’d look at me,

I wonder if I’d be your heartfelt plea.

I wonder if I’d be your choice so true,

Among a thousand fairies—only me for you.

I wonder how you’d like my hair,

A folded bun, or a flowing flair.

I wonder how our lives unfold, beneath city lights or by the seashore—

I wonder if I’ll love you to the core, or you’ll adore me more.

I wonder how often we might argue,

How long will I be left forgotten by you.

I wonder if I’ll be abandoned by you,

Or persuaded in moments I was never owed.

I wonder if you’d love me the way I dream,

Or better than I knew—beyond what it seemed.

I wonder if you’d laugh out loud at my silliest joke,

And cuddle me tight before my tears spoke.

I wonder if you’d cheer with all your might,

As if my victory was your own delight.

I wonder if you’d cherish me like I’m all you have,

A treasure you guard, both tender and brave.

I wonder if in me your world you’d see…

I wonder—what would I truly be?
