I Wonder

I wonder if we’ll come out of this with the evidence of the lessons

That we are more blessed than we choose to express

I wonder if we’ll complain a lot less

Knowing that everything we have could be taken in seconds

I wonder we will hug each other a little tighter

After the saying Tomorrow isn’t promised, it became a lot more factual

I wonder if we’ll listen more and speak less

So that we can show those that we love that they matter, and in their emotional love bank, we want to invest

I wonder will we care less about titles

As we see through crisis, NONE of it matters

I wonder will we choose to engage more with people rather than technology

As we’ve been forced to use it constantly

I wonder if we’ll save money

After something nobody expected has hit heavily

I wonder if we’ll forgive a little quicker

Knowing that what we’re mad about probably doesn’t even truly matter

I wonder if we’ll take the time to look into other people’s eyes and see them

Acknowledging that human connection is one of the most vital parts of life

I wonder if when we go to church and worship services, if we’ll come in ready to receive and give our praise

After weeks of preparation at home

I wonder, I truly wonder, if what we see will change the way we behave, speak, think, interact, and approach everything

I wonder if the list of things we take for granted will decrease

 I wonder
