I wonder

Sometimes I wonder,

How true happiness feels?

Sometimes I wonder,

What unconditional love is?

Whether it would be like,

The light at the end of a tunnel,

Or like finding water in a desert!

Whether it would be like,

Catching the first breath of air,

After being under water,

Or the excitement a child feels while getting candy!

Sometimes I wonder,

where to find love?

Sometimes I wonder,

Whether I deserve it?

Through a mother’s abuse,

In a father’s taunt,

Through a lover’s betrayal,

Or in a friend’s jealousy!

Sometimes I wonder,

When would I be free?

Sometimes I wonder,

When would I find peace?

From constant fear,

Bound like a vice,

From endless pain,

Stuck like grease,

And from beautiful scars,

That bleed hatred!

Sometimes I wonder,

Why these questions?

But all the time I know,

One feels absence only,

When their presence is present!!
